One of the classics in the French cycling calendar this is usually a brutally competitive early season race which includes the notorious pavé, cobbled roads of northern France which are ill-suited to finely-tuned racing bikes or athletes. Although known as Paris-Roubaix it does not start in or near Paris!
The next event is on 14 April 2019 It is cobbled lanes for nearly 60km of the 260km course which usually starts in Compiegne (60 Oise, Hauts de France) 80km north of Paris and finishes in Roubaix on the northern outskirts of Lille (59 Nord, Hauts de France)
