Budget airline flights this Spring can be found for under £70 one way, but to this you need to add travel costs from/to the airport from the city centre and the extra charges for baggage – and this is part of Eurostar’s campaign to undercut the budget airlines on these longer distance routes. Nick Mercer, Eurostar’s commercial director said: “Eurostar provides an effortless and seamless journey all year round.”
Straight to the heart of the South of France
From 1 May 2015, Eurostar will take you from the heart of London or Ashford to the heart of Avignon or Marseille, up to five times a week during summer. Best of all, these all-inclusive prices will be available all year round. As for luggage, there are no extra fees or weight restrictions.
Comfort and style
Enjoy spacious, comfortable seats and the chance to spend some quality time together with tables for groups of four. Upgrade to Standard Premier and flick through complimentary magazines before sitting back and stretching your legs while we serve you a light meal and drinks. Eurostar can take you from London to Avignon in 5h 49mins and from London to Marseille in 6h 27mins.
Enjoy the view
The Provence route takes you past some of France’s most breathtaking scenery. Travelling by train is also far more eco friendly than flying, so you can watch the world go by while doing your bit for the planet.
