A new edition of a fascinating and very readable book on France and the French has recently been published (Dec 2005) - "Culture Shock: France" by Sally Adamson Taylor.- a survival guide to customs and etiquette. The book arose from a realisation that whilst France is on one level very familiar, it is also very foreign!
